Project Duration: 2021 - 2024

We strive to make our clients feel at home, wherever they are. So when New York–based actors, producers, directors, and writers Danny Strong and Caitlin Mehner decided to plant roots in Los Angeles, we were honored to play a role in making their dream of a bicoastal lifestyle—and ditching the unsettled feeling of living out of a suitcase—a reality.

We collaborated with the Emmy-award-winning couple to transform this dated 1960s West Hollywood condo, which they purchased in 2021, into a contemporary home with nods to bygone eras. Although we originally planned to stick to straightforward cosmetic upgrades, the project pivoted into a full gut renovation after asbestos was discovered throughout the 3,000-square-foot unit. But that initial setback allowed us to completely reimagine each space from the ground up, resulting in a fully customized space and an intentional flow created with Danny and Caitlin’s busy lifestyle in mind.

An open floor plan seamlessly connects the marble-clad kitchen to sophisticated dining and lounge areas that spill onto a balcony overlooking the city. Each space is a conversation between modern conveniences and vintage charm—from the architectural molding and antique hardware to the custom walk-in closets and bespoke built-in cabinetry. Equipped with a color-drenched bar and a spa-like steam room, the revived unit offers a luxurious escape from the hustle and grind of the city.
